New York Day 8

Tonights Show In Brooklyn

Town homies performing here tonight in Brooklyn…

Well snap, my janky old computer died last night, R.I.P. It served us well, and many dope beat and ill workshops was done on that thing, but needless to say the video blogging has come to an unexpected close. Word up. But, I can still type pretty fast because at The Rotary Boys & Girls Club in the Central District I learned how to type hella fast with my homie Deon by playing some weird type teaching frog video game when we were bored in the Computer Lab.

So, I filmed all of yesterday and even got a a free ticket to the Knicks game and, since they suck this year, there wasnt a lot of people there, so we walked down to half court right above the tunnel and got to watch the end of the game up close. Got to see Jamaal Crawford who plays for Atlanta and is from the town Rainer Beach Class of 1998.

Yeah, so we miraculously have recorded 10 songs ( its still unbelievable to me) in a week and some change, and Im coming back home this weekend. I’ll see yall Monday for shizzle. Making all the beats and writing has been pretty crazy, but we said ‘anything goes lets just capture everything that we make and write to it for the two weeks’. Im making all the beats on Garage Band and recording the vocals in Pro Tools (you have both those programs at Youngstown in the Media Lab and Studio) Ive had to just work with whats here. I’ve had to quantize a little more than I would have liked on the beats, and I am dying for some real instruments to come lay down parts over the tracks, but we are just making it what it is and leaving it at that. After all, we didn’t even think we would be here in the first pleezy. (we thought we would be doing shows in Europe)

So thats that little homies, hope you cats are being safe and everything is all right. Bless.
